Your getting sleepy, sleepy... Did you know sleep can affect your weight? In addition to affecting your weight, not enough or poor sleep quality can affect your overall health, mind and body. Poor sleep can cause weight gain when we are tired you are less likely to make healthy choices in your diet and you have a tendency to look to those quick pick me ups which in the long run can make you more tired. Not enough sleep can also affect blood pressure. When you are sleep deprived you tend too stress more easily and not handle the stress as well and of course stress can be a major factor to increased blood pressure. Now unfortunately all of these things can lead to other health problems such as diabetes due to weight gain, high blood pressure also due to weight and increased stress levels, just to mention a few. Be true to yourself... Today's post is not about exercise but it is about our mental and emotional health which is just as important. I came across this quote, pictured, a few days ago and felt the need to share. Recently I have been hearing individuals either discussing another person or seeing posts on Social media about individuals speaking badly of another. If there is someone in your life for which you feel the need to behave differently than who you really are, it is time to let that person go. As the saying goes 'Let go of the things that no longer serve you', this includes the people you let into your life. At some point in our lives we have all had someone or something that does not serve us and may actually cause stress or anxious feelings. There is no need for that in anyone's life and you need to let them go. It is difficult and may even be painful but that will pass and in the end may be better...
