There is a workout here...
It has been too long since my last post, but like you, I also have a lot going on sometimes. I wish to provide you with information at least two times a month. That is not always the case but I keep posting when I can so I can share knowledge and ideas with those looking for the same.
Sometimes what sparks an urge for me to post is something I hear in passing. Recently I heard a conversation between a small group of ladies and one individual expressed that she focuses more on the cardio workouts to help with her weight. This is a common conversation among women 35 + years of age. It's a time in life when females can be dealing with a variety of situations that can affect their weight, such as childbirth later in life, busy raising children with limited time, and for those approaching 50 years or above it is the changes in our bodies due to the natural aging process. As females, our first response is I need to do more cardio to burn calories but what we really need is strengthening exercises at least 2 times a week. Don't let this statement scare you and no you are not going to get bulky. As we age we lose muscle mass and muscle helps us to burn calories more efficiently and improves our balance, posture, diminishes arthritis pain, and provides a better overall quality of life.
Below is an overall workout that will strengthen your muscles and increase your heart rate as you move from one exercise to the next quickly.
Full Body Blast has 4 sequences with 4 exercises. Do each exercise for 40 seconds with a 20 seconds rest before moving on to the next. You will then repeat each sequence 2 times. Please keep in mind you can alter this workout to fit your needs or timeframe. As always warm up for 3-5 minutes and finish with some stretches.
